Emilie Litow
emilie.litow@corexpeditions.org
Emilie grew up in the country in Illinois. As a kid she could often be found working outside alongside her family or exploring in the woods and fields. She attended Western Illinois University as a psychology and law enforcement major. Her third year of college, after spending a summer in northern Wisconsin as a camp counselor, she changed her major to recreation, park and tourism administration. As a part of her major she also signed up for ECOEE (Environmental, Conservation, Outdoor Education Expedition). ECOEE was a two semester long WEA course. Through this opportunity Emilie knew she wanted to guide and lead in the wilderness and outdoor community.
She has spent the last 13 years working for a Christian adventure company in Colorado. She worked as a guide, logistics coordinator, and wore many other hats. She believes in the power of outdoor ministry and the life changing effects it can have on someone's life. She is excited to share and facilitate the process so others can find peace, wonder, and joy in the outdoors. She is the mom to four kids and can often be found outside enjoying whatever outdoor activity can be found. She loves multi day backpacks, exploring, cooking, and hunting.
